All knives are sharpened professionally by hand to remove the risk of over-heating the steel and thus reducing the temper of the steel. STANDARD DISCOUNT: for 5 or more blades, the maximum cost for a blade to be sharpened is $7.70 & the minimum cost is $5.50 (including GST). Note: (not available with any other discounts. PENSIONER, STUDENT DISCOUNT & OTHER DISCOUNTS AVAILABLE. I offer FREE KNIFE SHARPENING DEMONSTRATIONS to Fishing, Hunting and other Clubs & Community groups such as the State Emergency Service and Rural Fire Service in exchange for leaving my business cards with participants. HISTORY

I am a Trade Qualified Metal Worker and Certified Workplace Trainer and Assessor. I have been practicing the art of knife sharpening for over 30 years. I offer a knife sharpening (mobile sharpening service), training and demonstration service. I service the greater Town Region and I am willing to negotiate travel to other areas or you can post your blades to me. I am prepared to negotiate an after hours service for emergency sharpening especially for restaurant and catering services. I use an Oil Stone (with Canola Oil/more suitable for the food industry or Water) followed by Honing with a Sharpening Steel and High Quality Leather Strop to fine tune the edges. All knives are sharpened professionally by hand to remove the risk of over-heating the steel and thus reducing the temper of the steel. This is much more than a job to me; it is a passion. I love and enjoy putting an edge on any blade and maintaining that edge. I enjoy teaching people new skills that they can take away with them. A favourite saying of mine that I learnt from an Occupational Therapist a long time ago is: “Give a man a fish and you will feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish and you will feed him for a lifetime”. Don't forget I offer great Standard, Student and Pensioner Discounts.
